The history of Aston Martin began back in 1913 when Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford joined forces to sell cars made by Singer. In 2013 the company will be celebrating its centenary and to commemorate the event the company has prepared a series of special events, plus a very cool logo.
The logo has 100 dots in it and has the shape of a nautilus, according to Aston Martin CEO Dr Ulrich Bez, and it represents Aston's progress which is never ending and marks the beginning of a new century for the company. After 100 more years the logo will have 200 dots, at least this is the plan. Let's hope Aston manages to succeed!
Aston Martin describes itself as a company "independent in spirit and ownership, we remain resolute and true to the ethos of creating cars that embrace advanced engineering, yet exude understated elegance."
