CEO also hints at an Aventador Superleggera
Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has revealed that the company isn't in a rush to build a production version of the Urus concept.
Speaking with Auto Express, Winkelmann said “the Urus isn’t an immediate priority and won’t happen until 2017 at the earliest." He added, “To be honest, we don’t need it right now, as we have plenty of new cars available that are selling well and will continue to sell well.” He also said the crossover would have to be approved by the company's board of directors which hasn't happened as of yet.
In related news, the executive hinted an Aventador Superleggera is in the works. When asked about the model, Winkelmann said "The Aventador is a powerful car, but there is always more. We have a few ideas for this car…”
