620 HP and 605 lb-ft
Sport Auto's test drive editor Christian Gebhardt had the opportunity to drive the new G63 AMG-based Brabus B63-620 Widestar.
Making its public debut at the 2012 Essen Motor Show, the Brabus-tuned G63 AMG has the same twin-turbo V8 5.5-liter engine but power has been increased from 544 HP (400 kW) to 620 HP (456 kW). Torque has also been lifted from 560 lb-ft (760 Nm) to 605 lb-ft (820 Nm).
Aside from the healthy power boost, the G63 AMG has also received an electronically-adjustable Ride Control Suspension with comfort and sport modes, as well as an adjustable valve-controlled exhaust system.
It rides on 23-inch alloys and has LED illumination for the side steps and an aero front spoiler with built-in LEDs. Side body mouldings and rear bumper fascia get satin silver color accents, while inside there's new leather upholstery and improved materials offered in a rich palette of colors.
