You might not be familiar with VUHL, but at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this coming July, you’re going to get acquainted with it real quick.

The "highly specialist" automaker is the brainchild of brothers Iker and Guillermo Echeverria, whose Mexican/American design agency, Etxe, was responsible for designing the 05, a road-legal lightweight supercar that no one has ever seen, at least until now.

Not much has been divulged about the 05, but VUHL, which stands for Vehicles of Ultra- lightweight and High-performance, did come out and say that the 05 will come with list of renowned suppliers that helped develop the supercar, including Magna Steyr, Multimatic, and yes, even Ford.

VUHL also said that no stones were left unturned in the development of the 05 an extensive research and development phase that was done in three separate continents.

According to VUHL, the body of the 05 was fabricated in Canada with handling research and optimization done in the UK and the final assembly being conducted in Mexico City.

Needless to say, this mysterious supercar has given us pause. The teaser of its front fascia seems to suggest that it has the look of an exotic. Apart from that, there’s not a whole lot to go by at this point. What we do know is that it’ll be interesting to see what VUHL has hiding in the shadows.
