After bringing the car to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month, Ford is showcasing the Euro-spec 2013 EcoSport in Geneva.

Created as a more affordable solution for an SUV from Ford, the EcoSport is positioned below the Kuga and rides on Fiesta's platform. It will be sold with the popular 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine in the 125 HP (92 kW) output variant, along with a 1.5-liter producing 110 HP (81 kW). Diesel fans will be able to configure the car with a 1.5-liter providing 90 HP (66 kW).

It will be one of Ford's first models in Europe to come with Ford SYNC AppLink system which provides support for voice-controlled smartphone applications. Also available is going to be SYNC Emergency Assistance which will connect passengers to local emergency services operators after an accident. This will be done in the region's language and use the information gathered from the GPS to detect the location of the accident.
