Debuts on March 26
Land Rover has released a teaser clip with the upcoming 2014 Range Rover Sport scheduled to debut on March 26 at New York Auto Show.
It was only yesterday when Land Rover published a teaser photo with the new Range Rover Sport and now we get to take a look at the first video announcing the arrival of the firm's "fastest, most responsive and most agile vehicle to date."
Compared to the outgoing model, the new one is expected to lose approximately 661 lbs (300 kg) and should feature an Evoque-inspired styling with tear dropped-shape headlights. We should also see new taillights, a tailgate-mounted spoiler and a sloping roofline.
More expensive than the Evoque, the new Range Rover Sport is likely to use the same engines as the 2013 Range Rover, including the 3.0-liter V6 diesel with 255 hp (190 kW) and the 4.4-liter V8 diesel with 335 hp (250 kW). Gasoline choices will consist of a 5.0-liter V8 with 375 hp (280 kW) and a supercharged V8 producing 504 hp (376 kW).
