The Aprilia RX 50 was the first enduro bike that managed to combine with success the off road riding with street riding.
Like the Aprilia SX 50, the RX 50 is fitted with a relativelly compact liquid cooled, single cylinder two stroke 50 cc engine, mated on a 6 speed transmission. Despite its small displacement, the 50 cc unit has enough grunt to keep you out of trouble on the toughest off road tracks but also on the paved roads.
The engine is mounted on a steel frame, which is especially designed for off road conditions. The suspensions were also tuned to deal with the tough conditions of off-road riding and consist of a front 40 mm hydraulic fork with leading axle and a rear steel swingarm combined with a hydraulic monoshock. The bike is kept in check by a front 300 mm ventilated disc and a rear 180 mm stainless steel disc.
