Following its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, McLaren has shown off the 650S Spider at the Need for Speed gala in Hong Kong.

While the movie has been getting terrible reviews, the 650S Spider should fare better as it has an attractive exterior that draws cues from the P1.

The model also has a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine that develops 650 HP (478 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed SSG transmission which enables the 3020 lb (1370 kg) roadster to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.0 seconds, 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) in 8.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 329 km/h (204 mph).
