Boasts 313 HP (230 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque
Allan McNish has taken a break from his racing duties to test drive the Audi SQ5 TDI at Silverstone.
While some people have criticized the company for offering a diesel engine in a performance model, McNish says "We've been racing diesels now, and high-performance diesels, for such a long time, we've got fantastic power, torque and also economy." He sums up by say the model is a "fantastically beautiful car" that balances power, comfort and fuel efficiency.
As we have previously reported, the SQ5 TDI is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 TDI engine that develops 313 HP (230 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and a quattro all-wheel drive system which enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
