BMW has announced plans to introduce the ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe at the New York Auto Show.

Set to go on sale later this year, the model is distinguished by an aerodynamic body kit that includes a front spoiler, a trunk-mounted spoiler and a rear diffuser. The model also has a stainless steel sports exhaust system and 20-inch ALPINA CLASSIC alloy wheels. Customers can also order the car in two exclusive colors: ALPINA Blue and ALPINA Green.

The cabin comes nicely equipped with LAVALINA leather upholstery, illuminated door sill plates and Myrtle wood or Piano Black trim. There's also revised instrumentation and an ALPINA badge on the steering wheel.

Power is provided by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that develops 540 bhp (402 kW) and 540 lb-ft (731 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system which enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 198 mph (318 km/h).

The BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe will go on sale shortly after its debut and U.S. pricing starts at $118,225 (including $925 destination and handling charge).
