Will be shown alongside the V12 Vantage S and CC100 Speedster concept
Aston Martin has announced plans to stage the global debut of the 2014 Vanquish Volante at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
Described as a "stunning new luxury sports car," the Volante features a carbon fiber body and a lightweight fabric roof that retracts in just 14 seconds. The model is also equipped with a 6.0-liter engine V12 engine that develops 573 HP (421 kW) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the convertible to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 294 km/h (183 mph).
The Vanquish Volante will be shown alongside the V12 Vantage S and CC100 Speedster concept. Previous reports have also indicated the company will introduce two new concepts at the event, but nothing is official as of yet.
According to Aston Martin’s Regional Director for The Americas, Julian Jenkins, “The Pebble Beach week is now well established as a global celebration of the automobile and we are delighted to be a featured marquee for 2013, celebrating our first 100 years, while also looking forward to the future.”
