1966 Chevrolet Corvair Yenko Stinger joins Jay Leno's garage [video]

Only 70 of 100 are still alive

In his latest video report, Jay Leno shows off his unique 1966 Chevrolet Corvair, that was tuned by Don Yenko in the late 1960s. The American comedian, actor and television host bought this Stage 2 Corvair from fireman Jeff Guzzetta, who made the road racer's full restoration.

Word has it only 70 of 100 Corvairs, prepared by the legendary hot rodder Yenko, still exist. The sports vehicle was available with four different engine updates with power ranging from 160 HP to 240 HP. All 100 copies were equipped with a heavy duty suspension, four speed transmission, quicker steering ratio, limited-slip differential and dual brake master cylinders.
