Porsche unveiled a new video featuring the seven-time Pikes Peak Champion, Jeff Zwart, discussing the alter ego of the Porsche 911 - Rallying and Off-Roading.
The video starts with rare footage of Porsche's involvement in Rally Dakar and continues with some footage showing Jeff attacking Pikes Peak. The video will also bring you to the Porsche Museum where you will see the Paris-Dakar-winning Type 953, the all-wheel-drive 911 precursor to the 959.
In the meantime, rumors suggest that Porsche could unveil a special, off-road version of the 911 at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show in April. This new concept is rumored to be called 911 Safari and will be based on the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 and will feature an off-road package.
If this rumor becomes a reality, then Porsche is sure to slingshot right to the front of the rally-racing realm. We will find out in the upcoming months if there is any truth to this rumor.
