General Motors picks Chuck Stevens as CFO
By Kevin Davis on Wednesday, January 15th, 2014General Motors appointed Chuck Stevens as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), effective Jan. 15.
Stevens succeeds Dan Ammann, who becomes the company president on Jan. 15, GM said in a statement.
Stevens will report to Mary Barra, who becomes GM CEO on Jan. 15.
Previously, Stevens was CFO of GM North America. He became CFO in January 2010 and led GM’s financial operations for U.S. Sales, Service and Marketing, GM Canada, GM Mexico, North America Manufacturing, Customer Care and Aftersales, and Global Connected Consumer.
Stevens previously held leadership positions in China, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. He began his career at Buick Motor Division in 1983.
