Compact SUV previewing future designs

Suzuki has released two teaser photos with the iV-4 concept which will be presented in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

iV-4 represents a compact SUV concept which will preview Suzuki's design language as far as SUVs are concerned. Judging these two teaser pics, the concept has a front grille divided into five and a clamshell hood, along with extremely thin side mirrors, big daytime running lights, spotlights installed on the roof and additional lighting around the front grille.

A month ago a rumor emerged about a Nissan Juke rival scheduled for a 2015 release so we assume it will be a production version of this concept. Based on a shortened S-Cross platform, the car will allegedly be sold in Europe and built in Hungary. It will borrow S-Cross' engine lineup, together with manual and automatic transmissions, as well as front- and rear-wheel drive setups. Suzuki will try to entice buyers by offering a wide array of customization options.

The 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show will open its doors on September 10.
