And 1,000 Nm of torque

It was only two weeks ago when Mercedes-Benz introduced the 2014 S63 AMG and now rumors about a more powerful S65 AMG version have surfaced.

Mercedes-Benz Passion blog is reporting the S65 AMG will be available on order as early as January 2014. It won't come with the S63 AMG's V8 5.5-liter twin-turbo engine as Mercedes-Benz plans to stick the mighty V12 (probably a 6.0-liter) inside its most powerful S-Class ever. How powerful? The same source reports a 630 HP (463 kW) output with no less than 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque.

The engine will allegedly be linked to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-speed gearbox and enable the high-performance luxury sedan to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in four seconds. Not like it matters a lot in such a car, but fuel consumption is estimated at 11.6 liters / 100 km (20 mpg US or 24.3 mpg UK).

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG is rumored to get the Magic Body Control once deliveries commence in March. As a reminder, the system has a stereo camera mounted within the windscreen which scans the road ahead and automatically modifies suspension damping to multiple or individual wheels within a fraction of a seconds.
