Lamborghini Veneno Roadster render 29.07.2013 / LamboCars.com
Company could build up to nine units
The Lamborghini Veneno was one of the stars of the Geneva Motor Show and a new report is indicating the company is considering a roadster variant.
According to Cars UK, several "very high end Lamborghini customers" have been approached by a dealer who inquired if they might be interested in a Veneno roadster. This could imply Lamborghini has already signed off on the model or is seriously considering doing so.
While only three Veneno coupes were built, sources suggest that up to nine different roadsters could be made. There's no word on pricing but the coupe cost €3 ($3.9 / £2.5) million, so expect a roadster to retail for even more.
As a refresher, the Veneno featured an Aventador-sourced 6.5-liter V12 engine that developed 750 HP (552 kW). It enabled the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 355 km/h (220 mph).
