2013 Chevy Corvette, Porsche Macan, and Lamborghinis Rumor

The latest reports from Germany suggest the 2013 Porsche Macan crossover will be offered with a turbo. The same rumors say power output might be as high as 370 horsepower from a twin-turbo V-6 engine. The turbo model would join the base, diesel, hybrid, and naturally-aspirated V-6 models. With a handful of versions planned, it's easy to see why Porsche thinks it can sell more than 50,000 Macans a year.

We reviewed the 2013 Chevrolet Corvette and found it to handle and accelerate just as you would expect: very, very well. With base Corvettes reaching 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, the ZR1 seems insane with its 3.4-second 0-60 mph time. You'll find the interior dated with too much plastic, and comfortable, but lackluster, seats. The Corvette will be new for 2014.

While it seems to be Ferraris that usually catch fire in a very public way, this weekend a 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 burst into flames on a highway near Aliso Viejo in Southern California. The driver managed to escape unharmed, but we can't say the same for the Aventador. The fire occurred during a test drive, which makes one wonder if the driver will still consider purchasing an Aventador after their experience.
