0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds.
Motoren Technik Mayer (MTM) in Taiwan has produced this slick promo video for their comprehensive upgrade program for the Audi TT-RS. First reported back in 2010, the kit includes a new turbo, ECU reprogramming, spark plugs, MTM competition air filter and catalysts. Other than that, it has a Haldex ECU (Generation 4) controller that can transfer torque faster to the back wheels and gives the driver the possibility of choosing from one of the following three modes: race, sport and street.
Thanks to these modifications, the Audi TT-RS can produce 472 hp (352 kW) at 6,600 rpm and 63.7 kgm torque at 4,100 rpm. It is able to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in just 3.4 seconds and comes with a MTM titanium exhaust system.
More power requires an uprated braking system so MTM’s engineers installed four-piston calipers with 376mm cross-drilled rotors. The car rides on a new set of MTM bimoto-forged 20 x 9 alloy wheels that weigh 11 kg (24 lbs) / wheel and are covered by the Michelin PS2 255/30R20 tires.
Other changes worth mentioning include the MTM carbon rear spoiler and the diffuser, as well as minor aerodynamic tweaks.
Thanks to Jimmy for the tip!
