The Jeep Renegade won't be tackling the Rubicon anytime soon but that hasn't stopped the company from trying to prove its off-road prowess by releasing a video of the model on the Silver Lake sand dunes in Michigan.
In the clip, Jeep vehicle integration engineer Heather Scott highlights the Renegade's four-wheel drive system and says "It's going to give you the traction you need, where you need it." She goes on to say "The Renegade's doing great. I've got good control, it's handling wonderfully."
As a refresher, the Renegade Trailhawk has an increased ride height, skid plates and unique bumpers that improve the approach and departure angles. The model also has hill decent control, a Jeep Active Drive Low four-wheel drive system, a Rock mode and exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels with "aggressive on-road and off-road tires."
