Current Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Will Be Produced Until Early 2015

The outgoing Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe is getting one final curtain call according to Car and Driver. The departing sports coupe, will eventually be replaced by the new twin-turbo Mercedes-AMG C63, but until the latter arrives sometime next year, Mercedes will continue to build the current C63 AMG Coupe as long as there is demand.

The new C63 lineup is currently devoid of a coupe model so keeping the old coupe in production to offer its clientele means that it's not forsaking the two-door market just yet. The current M156 V-8 engine that Mercedes currently employs on the C63 AMG is also one of the best engines in the world, and many buyers are not ready to see it go. It's hard to say goodbye to an engine that's been universally lauded during its run so you can understand why the German company is looking to give it an extended run.

Whatever its intentions are, the last call of the C63 AMG should make it a hot-seller in its market before officially bowing out in the spring of 2015.
