2016 Mercedes C-Class Coupe rendering / Automedia
Could follow in the footsteps of the S-Class Coupe
Mercedes is working on a new C-Class Coupe so our artists have created a new rendering of what the car could look like.
Drawing inspiration from the C-Class Sedan and the S-Class Coupe, the rendering shows a stylish coupe with a two-bar grille that is flanked by large air intakes and LED-infused headlights. Moving further back, we can see curvaceous bodywork, a gently sloping roofline and prominent character lines.
Engine options will carryover over from the C-Class Sedan so expect a variety of of familiar petrol and diesel options including a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 241 bhp (179 kW) and 229 lb-ft (310 Nm) torque as well as a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 329 bhp (245 kW) and 354 lb-ft (479 Nm) torque. We can also expect a high-performance C63 AMG Coupe with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that could produce approximately 444 bhp (331 kW).
Mercedes has been relatively tight-lipped about the model but it is expected to be introduced in 2015 or 2016.
