Starts at $82,500
Audi recently announced plans to offer an A8 L TDI in the United States and now the company has followed up with full pricing and performance information.
Set to go on sale this spring, the model has a 3.0-liter TDI engine that produces 240 hp (179 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. It enables the sedan to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 6.4 seconds and return an EPA-estimated 24 mpg city / 36 mpg highway/ 28 mpg combined (US).
The model will be priced from $82,500 which is a slight premium over the 2013 A8 L 3.0 TFSI that retails for $78,500. While the model isn't cheap, it's still $10,500 less than its nearest rival - the Mercedes S350 BlueTEC.
