Debuts at Paris Motor Show

The third generation of the Skoda Fabia supermini has been caught on camera once again, this time on the public roads near the Nürburgring circuit in Germany.

The outgoing Fabia has aged quite well but time has arrived for a new generation to replace the seven-year-old model. Spotted here is the hatchback but the Czech marque has already confirmed plans for a wagon version and they are also considering bringing back the sedan body style which was available for the first-gen model but frankly it looked quite awkward.

It won't ride on Volkswagen's MQB platform due to development costs while the design will closely echo the Rapid small sedan. Engine lineup will be largely taken over from the facelifted Polo but the RS version has been axed due to slow sales.

The 2015 Skoda Fabia will be introduced in October at the Paris Motor Show and will go on sale shortly thereafter.
